Welcome to our studio in Chippendale
Our production studio is fully equipped for photography and video production.
Located in the heart of Chippendale, the studio space is 32 square metres with four metre high ceilings, equipped with a 2.7m wide paper roll background with white, grey, and green screen backdrops available.
The studio is acoustically treated for high quality audio recording. Best use cases range from portrait, product, fashion, food, piece-to-cameras, interviews, and online content video production.
A tried and tested space to capture content for integrated campaigns through to internal corporate content, all with streamlined production and post production workflows in mind.

When you visit The Signal Box HQ, “mi casa su casa”. Our studio office is home to additional facilities available for hire on request.
This versatile, acoustically treated space is ideal for pieces to camera, green screen, interviews, live cross, and corporate content. You can choose between a controlled lighting environment perfect for green screen or paper roll backgrounds, or you can open the blinds to natural sunlight coming in from two sides. In addition, some setups have chosen to not use the backdrops and use the industrial chic white painted brick and heritage wooden floorboards.

We are located in Studio 6, the top floor of 46 Balfour St, Chippendale. The entrance to our suit is via the door closest to the corner of Balfour and Henrietta St.
We have a dedicated car space for our studio. Please enquire to reserve it along with your studio booking. There is also ample, metered street parking surrounding the studio building.

Monday – Friday | 9:00 – 5:00PM
Before and after hours, and weekend access is available on request.
The studio is equipped with a custom suite of tried and tested lighting, camera, and audio equipment for the space. The full list of gear can be found on our studio brochure and is available for hire on request.
Our in-house production team can give a helping hand if you need the extra help. Moreover, we have a rolodex of production experts to call upon based on your production needs. Let us know your production needs when you make an inquiry and we can help provide the right crew for the job.
The surrounding area has plentiful food options, and all our studio packages include snacks, tea and coffee. However if you would like production catering to be organised, our team can manage this for you.
If you would like to cancel your studio booking, a 48-hour cancellation notice will result in a half-charge and less than a 24-hour cancellation notice will result in a full charge.
We are flexible but the terms above will be the general policy for cancellations.
Being located up six short flights of stairs, we are sadly not wheelchair accessible.
