Brand Manager, Red Island
Authentic stories grown in Aussie red soil
THE CHALLENGE
Red Island is an established subsidiary of olive oil giant Boundary Bend, now a familiar red label on supermarket shelves. With minimal digital assets available to promote the brand. Red Island needed to capture the beauty of their groves and the stories of their farmers to launch their updated brand.
It’s in my blood, I’m a sixth generation farmer.
I use extra virgin olive oil pretty much every day.
WHAT WE DID
For us to be able to tell the stories of the farmers – we needed to get to know the farmers. So we travelled around with the farmers on their respective farms, discovering what life is like on the groves. Our rapport with the farmers resulted in comfortable, jovial discourse that led to engaging portrayals of the people and places behind Red Island. This rare connection between farmer and consumer helped to complete the paddock to plate, tree to table mantra that Red Island is so passionate about. It’s evident that the farmer’s stories we captured showed the passion they put in every day to give the rest of us an outstanding product to eat.
The stories captured and the content produced have proved perennial. The brand refresh has stuck with Aussies, and the stories continue to resonate with all of us in the connection to the land, knowing where our food comes from and getting to know the people who produce it.
The stories remain the best performing video content on Red Island’s facebook page.
