Though Red Island have been on shelves for a relatively long amount of time, the story of Red Island was fairly unknown to Aussie consumers.
Recently Red Island went through a rebrand update which reinforced the need to share their story with consumers.
The Signal Box partnered with Red Island to capture the beauty of their groves and the true-blue stories of the Red Island olive grove farmers.
Meet George and his family
A stickler for quality George, his wife Jess and their daughter Matilda, live on a property in the Riverina, home to over 80,000 olive trees. George just loves working on this great land of ours. His passion for agriculture is reflected through his proactive, go-getter attitude to the olive industry. George is very much involved in his local community and is most passionate about producing high quality, Australian products.
For us to be able to tell the stories of the farmers – we needed to get to know the farmers.
So we travelled around with the farmers on their respective farms, discovering what life is like on the groves, before ever picking up a camera.
This rapport with the farmers resulted in comfortable, jovial discourse that led to engaging portrayals of the people and places behind the brand.
Say g’day to Stefan
Stefan is a young, ambitious farmer who is at one with nature and has a great appetite for agriculture. He is responsible for estimating yields and measuring tree lines at the grove to ensure the property is maintained and kept in a condition to produce the freshest olives in Australia. Stefan loves the mateship and community of the groves and enjoys sharing farming stories and recipes with the Boort locals – because it’s food that brings us together.
Chris and the lads
Chris’ property in Northern Victoria has the perfect soil, climate and water supply for olive farming. They’re a resourceful bunch, there’s not much that gets in their way of getting the most out of what they have. Chris and the lads have a passion for the outdoors and take pride in growing a good quality product.
Macca loves the community that comes with a home amongst the groves. Nothing is too much of a hassle for Macca as he looks after irrigation and filtering at Boort so that the olive trees are nourished, healthy and fresh. This guarantees the olives harvested produce top quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
