Authentic and unfakeable

THE CHALLENGE

Our task was to create a complementary campaign for Bulla’s Murry Street TVC campaign that took the brand back to its roots in Colac. We needed to create assets to be used across multiple platforms, including digital, social and print. Added to this, there was a quick turnaround and a tight filming schedule. The key challenge was to ensure it was authentic and true to the farmers and locals who are the beating heart of Colac. All in the middle of a pandemic.

WHAT WE DID

We met some of the loveable characters of Colac with an authentic charm sure to resonate with Australian ice cream lovers. To let their unique personalities shine through, we filmed with a light-and-lean team and took the time to get to know our interviewees. We also equipped farmers and locals with the tools to film themselves, so the shoot could remain Covid-safe.

From the green pastures of a dairy farm to locals sharing a joke on the street, we captured an authentic vision of the town. The result was a documentary-style look at Colac that has been heralded as a true embodiment of Bulla.
